This one’s a rite of passage: A beer that speaks of its place and the coming of age of its people. For those that ever revved their engines (or sat in the back with a crap beer) on Te Rapa Straight getting excited by the smoke, the smell of burning rubber and the feeling of flaunting (sometimes fleeing) the long arm of the law. We have crafted a beer to take you back and show you how refined and delicious your dark side has become.
The judges comments:
“You won’t believe it’s 5.9% ABV because it tastes so much bigger and richer. The smoky bacon aroma is strong on the nose, but takes a back seat to sweet, creamy chocolate palate where the smoke is more subdued and gentle. Smokiness comes back to create perception of bitterness and dry finish. Top gear”
